The non-invasive NICO Cardiopulmonary Management System provides
hemodynamic and ventilation management tools that can help guide
fluid replacement and weaning protocols.
This easy-to-use, compact and completely automated device uses
the CO2-Fick method to measure cardiac output, cardiac index, stroke
volume, and systemic vascular resistance, and it combines measurements
of airway flow, pressure, volume, mainstream capnography, and pulse
oximetry to profile the patient’s respiratory status including
carbon dioxide elimination (VCO2), alveolar tidal volume (Vtalv),
physiologic deadspace (Vd/Vt), and pressure/volume and flow/volume
loops.
